PESHAWAR
Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) leader Mufti Kefayat Ullah has condemned the raid on Jamia Imdad-Ul-Uloom Peshawar, terming it a disgrace to the madrassa.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar press Club, Kifayatullah said the operation was conducted during the examination which depressed the students. He added that operation was carried out according to the instructions of the provincial government in which thousands of innocent students were tortured and humiliated.
He said that Wafaq Ul Madaris always helped the government in the extermination of militancy from the country but the government had no regard for their cooperation. He maintained that more than two million students were getting religious education from 13000 registered religious seminaries but the government had no respect and pity for these seminaries.
He said that Jamia Imdad Ul Uloom had also sacrificed for the removal of terrorism as its chief organizer and religious scholar Molana Hassan Jan was killed by the militants for giving Fatwaa against the suicide attacks but the government, instead of admiring his sacrifice, dejected his soil.
