LAHORE - Dozens of annoyed protestors broke into a North Cantonment police station on Wednesday and held hostage the police officers for several hours. Court workers rally for pay raise
FAISALABAD - Dozens of Faisalabad District Court workers held a protest rally in support of their pay raise. Reportedly, the protesters including sessions and civil courts' employees, readers, clerks and peons, took out a rally, carrying banners and placards inscribed with their demand for an increase in their salaries.

Railway workers protest downsizing
LAHORE - Two protests were held by different sections of the Pakistan Railways (PR) on Saturday. The PR Workers' Union held their protest at the Railway Station. LAHORE - The Pakistan Railways Workers' Union (PRWU) has scheduled a protest for today against downsizing. KARACHI - The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has pinned the permanent reinstatement of over 4,000 workers on a Rs 1.79 per unit tariff increase as well as government institutions clearing the power utility's outstanding dues, Pakistan Today has learnt.

KARACHI - The country's foreign remittances continue to sustain a positive trend as overseas Pakistanis transmitted over $5.291 billion homewards, during the first half of current fiscal year.
