Lahore, Multan advance in Women’s T20 Cricket

LAHORE: Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan and Peshawar won their National Women Under-19 T20 Cricket Championship matches on Thursday at the Lahore Country Club, Muridke.
Faisalabad beat Abbottabad by 25 runs, Lahore won by 168 runs against Hyderabad, Multan humbled Quetta by 10 wickets and Peshawar defeated Karachi by 23 runs.

LAHORE: Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Hyderabad registered wins in the National Women Under-19 T20 Cricket Championship at the Lahore Country Club, Muridke, on Tuesday. Sialkot women won by two wickets against Peshawar with Saima Maqsood doing well by getting three wickets for the winners. Women’s team honoured by Zardari

LAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari awarded cash awards of Rs500, 000 each to the players and Rs200, 000 each to the coaches of the national women cricket team that won the gold medal in the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. He handed the cash awards during a reception hosted for the team players in the Presidency to felicitate them on their win.
