Weekly inflation exhibits nominal rise

ISLAMABAD - The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), for the lowest income group up to Rs.3,000, has increased by 0.48 percent for the week ended on December 23 in comparison to the previous week. The SPI was recorded at 299.27 points as against 297.83 points in the previous week, according to figures of Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).
The weekly SPI has been computed with base 2000-2001=100 covering 17 urban centers and 53 essential items for all income groups and combined. SPI

The CNG stations would remain closed twice a week owing to gas shortage in winter while the All Pakistan CNG Association has threatened to go on an indefinite strike if the decision was not withdrawn.

ISLAMABAD: The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), for the week ended on October 14, inflation index for the lowest income group rose by up to Rs 3,000 and has registered a increase of 0.88 percent over the previous week.
The SPI for the week under review in the above mentioned group was recorded at 288.52 points compared to 286.01 points registered in the previous week, according to provisional figures of Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).

Winter, weekly holidays cancelled in Sindh institutions
