Punjab, KP reject two offs per week proposal
ISLAMABAD - The provincial governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) have rejected the centre's proposal of two holidays a week during summer and desired its non inclusion in recommendations for the energy summit. An official source at the Ministry of Water and Power said some of the draft recommendations for the energy summit were shared with the provinces to seek their consent.

ISLAMABAD - The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Thursday announced that all CNG stations would remain open throughout the week across Punjab as a protest against two-day weekly closure. KARACHI - Within the current week, the index shed over 472 points or 3.8 percent with an average volume of 95.45 million shares. It is worth mentioning that the index touched a high of 12,682 points on Jan 17, 2011 with year to date highest volume of 316 million shares during the preceding month.
