ISLAMABAD - A ministerial committee will take up the issue of unilateral price increase of urea with the representatives of fertiliser industry here on Tuesday.

ISLAMABAD - Taking strict notice of a massive price hike of Rs 190 per bag of urea by the largest urea manufacturer in the country, Engro Fertilisers, the government has sought an explanation from the manufacturer. ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Nazar Muhammad Gondal informed the National Assembly on Friday that the government will import 0.2 million tonnes of urea fertilizer from Saudi Arabia to offset any shortfall.

ISLAMABAD: The government conceded to importers and manufacturers demand to provide a subsidy of Rs 6.0 billion on the import of 0.225 million tonnes of urea during the current financial year.
