KARACHI - The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has ordered an official inquiry into the conduct of its Flight Inspector Capt Shafqat Mehmood for violating the CAA Rules by operating scheduled flights of Airblue as a line pilot.
Mehmood is charged with deliberately violating CAA Rules for monetary gains from Airblue Ltd, liable for a penal sentence under Rule 333 of the CAA Rules 1994.

QUETTA - Unknown miscreants planted explosives and blasted the 18-inch Shikarpur-Quetta main transmission pipeline supplying gas to Balochistan from Jaffarabad, some 17 km away from Jacobabad on Thursday. However gas is being supplied at low pressure to over 20,000 customers. Baloch Republican Army has claimed responsibility.

Two killed in separate incidents
KARACHI - The people were killed in separate incidents in the city in Tuesday.
The body of a 26-year-old man was found at Budhni Goth, Mauripur.Police said that the victim had two deep wounds on his head and his throat was slit with a sharp object.
The victim was identified as Habib, son of Ali Murad. He was a resident of Khaskheli Muhalla, Budhni Goth.
The police suspect personal enmity as the likely reason behind the murder.

TEHRAN - Iran's Revolutionary Guards have shot down two "Western spy" drones in the Gulf, the Fars news agency quoted a top commander of the elite military force as saying on Sunday.

ISLAMABAD - Seven people sustained bullet injuries on Saturday in a shootout between two groups in village Karlot in the Bhara Kau Police Station precincts, on the outskirts of the federal capital.
Members of two groups led by Sher Asif and Raja Nasir opened fire on each other, injuring seven people. The dispute arose out of a refusal to a marriage proposal. The injured were taken to PIMS and Federal Government Services Hospital.
