LAHORE - Model Town won the 2nd Javed Memorial Cricket Tournament, beating Mughalpura Whites by 41 runs here on Thursday. Batting first, Model Town were bowled out for 218. Rashid Riaz (87), Ashraf Ali (31), Nasir Jamsheed (30), and Jameel Khan (29) top scored for Model Town. Faheem Askari, Yasir Ali and Hassan Nasir took two wickets each for Mughalpura, while Imtiaz Shah and Afaq Shahid shared one apiece.

LAHORE: Protests organised by students of various colleges on Saturday created a massive traffic jam on roads adjacent to the New Muslim Town Morr.
Punjab College students were protesting against police torture of students and teachers at the Punjab Assembly a couple of days ago. LAHORE: A low intensity bomb exploded along the wall of Chowki Nawab Town on Raiwind Road in the Sattukatla Police precincts late on Sunday night. Unknown suspects are speculated to have planted a low intensity bomb along the wall of Chowki Nawab Town which went off at about 8:30 pm with a loud sound. No casualties were suffered due to the explosion.
