ISLAMABAD - The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), on Monday, issued a show-cause notice to Engro Vopak Terminal Limited (EVTL), for alleged imposition of unfair trading conditions.

KHAR - A suicide bomber struck a bus terminal in northwest Pakistan on Monday, killing up to six people in the sixth bomb attack in as many days to strike the nuclear-armed country, police said.
The bomb exploded in the small town of Jandol in the district of Lower Dir, 200 kilometres (125 miles) from the capital Islamabad. Pakistani troops fought a major offensive to expunge the Taliban from the area nearly two years ago.

Three guards beheaded at NATO terminal
PESHAWAR - Militants early Friday beheaded three security guards at a NATO truck terminal and damaged 10 oil tankers in a restive Pakistani tribal area bordering Afghanistan, officials said.

FAP shuts down Port Qasim’s grain cargo terminal
KARACHI - The country's first dedicated Fertilizer and Grain Terminal (FGT) at the Port Qasim was locked down for an indefinite period on Wednesday, after dozens of workers were injured in a violent mob attack the previous day.
Cargo handling at the state-of-the-art terminal was suspended as hundreds of 'employees of stevedoring companies' entered the terminal premises and started beating up the on-duty labourers while trying to ransack cargo-handling equipment at the facility.

FAP shuts down $135 million grain terminal
KARACHI - The country's first state-of-the-art fertiliser, grain and storage terminal has been shut down for an indefinite period at Port Qasim. The dedicated Fertiliser and Grain Terminal (FGT) was recently developed on BOT basis by a joint investment venture comprising Fauji Akbar Portia (FAP), Fauji Foundation and National Bank of Pakistan at a cost of $135 million (Rs 10 billion) at Port Qasim and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in October 2010.
