9 teams vie for glory in CM Competitions
LAHORE - The second Chief Minister's Sports Competitions (intermediate level) will roll into action from February 4. The event will be inaugurated by Director General Sports Punjab Salman Ijaz at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, at 11am. The nine divisional teams from all over the province will participate in the girls athletics, badminton, volleyball and hockey competitions while boys will take part in athletics, badminton, volleyball, cricket, football and hockey events.

Rameez warns teams not to write off Pakistan
LAHORE
Former cricketer Rameez Raja said though Pakistan may not go into the World Cup as one of the favourites but the other teams cannot afford to write them off.
"Pakistan has a fairly settled and a very good one-day side. They know the art of playing one-day cricket. They have struggled in Test cricket because some of the players simply don't have the temperament to graft out long innings but the 50-overs cricket format suits them," he said.
