LAHORE - The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday disposed of a petition challenging establishment and functioning of various task forces. Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry was hearing the petition filed by Maqsood Abbas, a resident of Green Town. Task forces and coordinators’ appointment challenged in LHC

LAHORE: A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday challenging formation of various task forces and appointment of coordinators by the Punjab government. Green Town resident Maqsood Abbas filed the petition arguing that the task forces and coordinators were a burden on the provincial exchequer, as large number of vehicles and other facilities including free petrol, telephones, travelling allowances, offices and staff have been provided to them.
