KARACHI: The KESC has demanded a further hike in electricity tariff as gas curtailment continue to cause problems. NEPRA had recently augmented the electricity tariff as the KESC incurred additional expenses due to greater utilisation of furnace oil.

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of 58 paisa per unit in the power tariff of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC). The fresh hike in power tariff has been approved for the month of October in the form of fuel adjustment charges, while the raise would be applicable from January.
