KARACHI - The transportation of commercial and strategic cargo to Afghanistan under the Pak-Afghan Transit Trade (PATT) has come to a complete halt, Pakistan Today learnt Wednesday.

Zardari directs uninterrupted gas supply to textile industry
LAHORE - While taking serious notice of gas supply suspension to the textile industry in Punjab, President Asif Ali Zardari has directed the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) managing director to ensure five days a week uninterrupted gas supply to the textile industry in the province of Punjab.

Power crisis looms as PSO halts fuel supply
KARACHI/LAHORE - The cash strapped Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on Thursday refused to supply furnace oil to the power sector due to the non-payment of its dues of Rs 158 billion. PSO has decided to discontinue the fuel supply to power sector to avoid further defaults on part of the sector, sources said.
