DHAKA - A student was shot dead on Sunday during clashes between police and protesters rallying in western Bangladesh to support a countrywide strike to protest against government policies on women.

LAHORE - A mugger killed a man on showing resistance at an attempted robbery in the precincts of the Ghalib market police station on Sunday, while Mujahid Squad Police caught the killer.
