KARACHI - Hundreds of students stormed the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) office on Saturday in a bid to submit their examination forms for the annual matriculation examination 2011.
On Friday, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad - the controlling authority of examination boards in Sindh - had said that the students who failed to submit exam forms within the deadline will have no choice but to appear in the supplementary examinations.

SIALKOT - Federal Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday visited the heirs of the five people who were killed during a windstorm in village Machchrala, Buhadarpura, Chakrala and Dera Bhattian near Head Marala, district Sialkot.
She consoled the grieved families and offered fateha for the departed souls. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan announced Rs 500,000 and Rs 100,000 compensation for each dead and injured, respectively, on behalf of the prime minister.

SIALKOT - A severe dust storm left at least 11 people dead and 50 others injured in Sialkot near the Pak-India border on Saturday afternoon.The storm, described by some people as a tornado, devastated Bahadarpura, Machchraala and Chakraala villages near Head Marala, as most of the houses collapsed amidst high-intensity wind while hundreds of cattle were also reportedly killed.
