LAHORE - Lahore Police on Wednesday initiated an inquiry in the murder case of Supreme Court Justice Javed Iqbal's parents. Investigators have collected blood samples for DNA test and finger prints of the three ladies and two security guards, whom the police had taken into custody for interrogation, to match with the samples of Justice Iqbal's parents to find the killers.

Misbah optimistic as first Test starts today
HAMILTON - Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq says his team is focused for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand and will not be distracted by an anti-corruption hearing that could mete out life bans to three suspended players.

PPAF starts work on school in dirt-poor slum
KARACHI: The Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) held the stone-laying ceremony of an educational facility in the impoverished hamlet of Goth Noor Muhammad, located on the outskirts of Karachi, on Tuesday.

IHC starts working without judges today
ISLAMABAD: The re-established Islamabad High Court (IHC) will start partial functioning today (Monday) by beginning admitting cases, a senior official of the Law Ministry told Pakistan Today on Sunday.
He said the IHC staff was already working since the last two months, whereas over 1,600 cases had also been shifted from Islamabad district courts to the IHC.
