LAHORE - Punjab Education Minister Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman kept everyone waiting at the flag off ceremony of the ninth stage of the Tour de Pakistan International Cycle Race on Friday morning. LAHORE - Haroon Rashid of WAPDA won the eights stage of the 16th Tour de Pakistan International Cycle Race on Wednesday. The race paddled off from Sahiwal towards Lahore at 9 am. Haroon Rashid covered the distance of 178 kilometres in 3 hours, 44 minutes and one second.

LAHORE - To register their protest and anger, the PML-Q's MPAs Wednesday staged a protest demonstration in front of the Punjab Assembly building against the party turncoats. LAHORE - WAPDA's Mohammad Sabir won the sixth stage of the 16th Tour de Pakistan International Cycle Race.
The sixth stage paddled off from Bahawalpur towards Multan on Monday morning. Sabir covered the distance of 90 kilometers in 2hours, 36minutes and 34 seconds to win the stage. Forty-six cyclists participated in the race but two were disqualified by the judges.

LAHORE Asif Junior of Sindh won the third stage of the 16th Tour de Pakistan International Cycle Race when he covered a distance of 150 kilometers, from Moro to Sukkur, in four hours 16 minutes and 42 seconds The third stage of the race started from Moro and Asif Jr led the pack of 52 riders from the start. LAHORE - Stags and Amar Cables won the opening day matches of the 1st Amar Cables Veterans T20 Championship, which started here at the Aligarh Ground Model Town on Sunday. LAHORE - NBP Multan, SBP Karachi and SBP Multan won their matches of the seventh SBP Governor Cup Inter-Bank Super Series Cricket Tournament. Three matches were played on Sunday. In the first match, NBP Multan defeated PPCBL Lahore by seven wickets.

Federal govt teachers stage sit-in to press their demands

ISLAMABAD - Extending their protest from the schools premises to roads, hundreds of teachers affiliated with Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on Monday staged a sit-in at the D Chowk near the Parliament House, demanding regularisation and revision of their service structure.
