3 soldiers killed in rocket attack
MIRANSHAH - A rocket attack by Taliban militants on Tuesday killed at least three soldiers and injured three others in North Waziristan, while a US drone strike in the same tribal agency killed five militants, security officials said. ‘Qaeda ambush’ claims nine Yemeni soldiers
ADEN - Al Qaeda militants killed nine soldiers in an ambush on a military convoy in the restive southern province of Abyan on Friday, Yemeni officials said.
"We were hit today in an Al Qaeda ambush which resulted in the killing of five soldiers and two others being wounded," a security official who requested anonymity told AFP.

PESHAWAR: At least three security personnel were killed and another two injured when Taliban attacked their convoy near Wana, headquarters of South Waziristan Agency, on Tuesday.
Reports said the convoy of armed forces was on its way to Wana when one of the vehicles hit an improvised explosive device (IED) near Azam Qela. Three people in the vehicle were killed on the spot. It was the second attack on security forces in South Waziristan Agency in three days.
