KATHMANDU - An official of the Pakistan Embassy was shot by an unidentified gunman on Thursday in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepali. Mehboob Asif, 36, who works at the visa section of the embassy, was injured in his stomach and hand when he was shot near the office on Thursday morning, police said.

Suspected bandit shot dead by Rangers
KARACHI - A man suspected to be a bandit was shot down by Rangers near the Karimabad flyover, the Gulberg police said on Sunday. According to Rangers officials, 30-year-old Jahangir was looting citizens near the Karimabad railway track. Rangers personnel were passing through on motorcycles when they saw Jahangir looting a family. They ordered him to surrender. However, when he tried to escape from the scene, they opened fire on him. His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
