Services’ exports surge 55.69 percent in 7 months
ISLAMABAD - Exports of services from Pakistan surged by 55.69 percent during the first seven months of current fiscal year as against the same period of last year.
The overall export of services was recorded at US$3.424 billion during July-January (2010-11) as against the exports of US$2.199 billion during the corresponding period of last year, according to data of Federal Bureau of Statistics.

Train service’s suspension makes people suffer in Kasur
KASUR - People are suffering because of suspension of train service in Kasur. As per details, Pakistan Railways administration had suspended the services of four trains namely 321up, 322 down, 257 up and 258 down due to non availability of diesel. Sindh wants Centre to ensure its slice in federal services
KARACHI - The Sindh Assembly on Thursday passed a unanimous resolution demanding the federal government to ensure the share of the province in federal services, including autonomous bodies and corporations.
Pakistan People's Party (PPP)'s senior member Dr Sikander Mandhro moved the resolution, and all parliamentary parties, including the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, supported it.

60-year-old dies at Services Hospital due to alleged negligence
LAHORE - A 60-year-old man died at Services Hospital due to alleged negligence of doctors here on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Manzoor, a resident of Nawankot. The victim's family told the police that Manzoor was ill for past few days and was admitted in Services hospital on Friday night where the doctors did not treat him timely. Resultantly, he died in the emergency ward.

Railway track bombings in Sindh suspend train services for hours
KARACHI: A series of small bomb blasts on upcountry railway tracks in different places in Sindh disrupted train services from Karachi to other parts of the country on Friday morning.
Six low-intensity blasts in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Ghotki and Panu Aqil damaged the tracks and brought train services to a complete halt for many hours. The train services were restored on Friday evening after railway engineers finished repairs.

532 fire rescuers pass out from Emergency Services Academy
LAHORE - 532 Fire Rescuers graduated at Emergency Services Academy (ESA), Shama Chowk, Ferozepur Road, Lahore in the middle of a heavy shower on Monday.
