DCO approves construction of roads
PAKPATTAN - District development committee Pakpattan has approved construction of 7-km long roads in city area. Pakpattan DCO Syed Haider Iqbal, while presiding a meeting regarding city development package, stated that Rs 200 million would be spent on this project.

Five houses robbed, citizens block roads
GUJRANWALA - Robbers took away valuables from five houses in the city in early hours on Sunday while hundreds of citizens blocked the bypass road for two hours, suspending the flow of traffic between Lahore and Islamabad.
Reportedly, six armed and masked robbers forced ann entry into the house of Muhammad Munir and took away 10 tolas of gold ornaments and other valuables. The robbers barged into his neighbourer's house and looted cash and other valuables at gunpoint.

36 express coaster buses to be run on City roads from...
LAHORE: At least 36 new Express Coaster Service buses are to being operating from January 15, 2011, under the management of the new Lahore Transport Company Chairman Khawaja Ahmed Hassan. These buses are to start their routes from Defence, to the rest of the city, and are expected to be used as an alternate to cars. They are also expected to have an electronic ticketing system.
