ISLAMABAD - Pakistani troops rescued Turkish ambassador to Ivory Coast and nine Nigerian citizens during the recent turmoil in the western African state.

Rescue 1122 saved 948 lives in February

SAHIWAL - Sahiwal Rescue 1122 responded to 827 emergency calls last month and saved 948 precious lives including 335 involved in traffic accidents and 13 in fire accidents.
District Emergency Officer Dr Zafar Shah said that emergency service received 23,149 calls out of which only 827 were related to any emergency. An average rescue time was 6.89 minutes during which 332 people were provided with instant first aid while 616 were shifted to hospitals.

Rescue 1122 performance review

LAHORE - Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer carried a performance review on Wednesday to ensure uniform service standard in all districts. Rescue 1122 data revealed that about 27,085 emergency victims have been rescued during 25,921 operations during February in 36 Punjab cities, while maintaining its average response time of seven minutes.
The data shows that collectively the total number of emergencies in February remained 10.5 per cent less than that of in January.
