Court releases detailed judgement in Davis case
LAHORE - A local court on Saturday released the detailed judgement of the Raymond Davis case. The text of detailed judgement stated that the case was fixed for framing of charge as copies of all documents stand delivered to the accused on February 25, 2011 and remaining copies of the documents at the request of the accused were delivered to him on March 8, 2011 both in English and Urdu.

CM releases Rs 30 million for Faisalabad blast victims
FAISALABAD - District Coordination Officer (DCO) Nasim Sadiq has said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has provided Rs 30 million for the Faisalabad blast victims. He said this while giving cheques to MPAs Chaudhry Shafiq Gujjar, Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal Nagra and Begum Rana Muhammad Afzal on behalf of the CM who visited the district headquarters hospital to distribute cheques among the injured. The heirs of those killed received the cheques at their residences.

PRU releases rugby calendar for 2011
LAHORE - The Pakistan Rugby Union on Wednesday announced the calendar for the year 2011.
Addressing a press conference here, PRU secretary Arif Saeed said that Pakistan was placed in Division-III and in the coming years they would drive their way into the second and first divisions. PRU President Fawzi Khawaja was also present on the occasion.

Punjab, Sindh agree on enhanced water releases
ISLAMABAD: To limit the hydel power shortage to 1500MW from the estimated 3500MW, Punjab and Sindh on Tuesday agreed to increase water releases during the forthcoming canal closure period - December-January.
According to official sources, the agreement was reached during an inter-provincial meeting chaired by Minister for Water and Power Pervez Ashraf to review the current water availability, forthcoming annual canal closures and its impact on hydropower generation.
