CHRISTCHURCH - A powerful earthquake killed at least 65 people in New Zealand's second city Christchurch on Tuesday, crushing buildings and vehicles and leaving hundreds trapped and screaming for help. ISLAMABAD - An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted Pakistan's Northern Areas, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal capital of the country at 7:45am on Monday but no lose of life or property was reported. Pakistan Met Office's spokesman said the epicenter of quake lied in Tajkistan, 530 km north of Islamabad with 83 km depth.

Quake damages 200 houses in Balochistan
QUETTA - An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter Scale jolted a number of towns across Balochistan, including the provincial capital, in the wee hours of Wednesday, damaging around 200 mud-houses and shops in Dalbandin.
The Met Office said tremors were felt at 2:23am and the epicenter of the earthquake was located around 50 kilometeres west of the town of Dalbandin, headquarters of Chaghai district.

7.4 magnitude quake rocks country
LAHORE - A 7.4 magnitude earthquake rocked several cities of the country, including Lahore, Karachi and Quetta, while tremors were also felt in India and Dubai late on Tuesday night.
The epicentre of the earthquake was reported to be 150 kilometres from Kharan in Balochistan province. There was no report of damage or loss of life when this report was made at 2am.
