PAL pays tribute to Punjabi poet Maulvi Ghulam Rasool
ISLAMABAD - Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri is one of the major poets of Punjabi language as his poetry covers a variety of subjects related to religion, Sufism and spiritual love. Muhammad Mansha Yad said this while presiding over a seminar on prominent Punjabi Poet Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri that was arranged by Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL).

No such thing as Punjabi Taliban, says Shahbaz
ISLAMABAD - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday criticised Interior Minister Rehman Malik for using the term "Punjabi Taliban" in the federal cabinet meeting, saying such statements could fan provincialism. He was talking to media outside the home of slain Shahbaz Bhatti where he condoled with the aggrieved family.

Fire erupts at Punjabi Complex
LAHORE - Fire erupted at Punjabi Complex at the Qaddafi Stadium late on Wednesday. Administration office of the complex engulfed in fire, which erupted owing to short circuiting in a generator installed there. Room furniture and five computers worth thousands of rupees were burnt. The security guard called the Rescue 1122 which later extinguished fire. Fire claimed no life neither an injury was reported. Punjabi Complex is a research center, an auditorium and an art gallery.
