LHC to hear petition challenging NAB Punjab DG’s appointment

LAHORE - A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench on Tuesday will hear a petition challenging appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab Director General (DG) Rana Zahid Mehmood. On Monday, the LHC chief justice (CJ) directed the petitioner's counsel Azhar Siddique to file a new petition along with Zahid's appointment notification and other necessary documents.

Punjab cabinet approves Walled City of Lahore Act 2011

LAHORE - The Punjab cabinet, during its meeting on Monday, approved the draft bill of the Walled City of Lahore Act 2011. The meeting, chaired by Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, also approved the draft bills of the Punjab Food Safety & Standard Authority Act 2011 and the Online Legislation Project for promoting public awareness about the laws of provincial departments. Punjab eyes wheat procurement in April

LAHORE - Punjab Food Secretary Irfan Elahi has stated that all arrangements have been finalised to kick start the annual wheat procurement campaign in April.
