PU officers suspended for not taking action against IJT
LAHORE - Punjab University (PU) administration on Friday suspended its Estate Officer (EO) Muhammad Shokat and Assistant Security Officer Muhammad Shokat on allowing Islami Jamiat Taliba (IJT) to hold programs inside the varsity.
IJT activists also protested against the PU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran after the Friday prayer, chanted slogans against the VC on disturbing their functions and claimed they were 'innocent' while VC was 'revengeful'.

LAHORE - Colonel (r) Ikramullah has taken over the Punjab University (PU) Public Relations Department after former director general public relation (DGPR) Khawaja Tahir was forced to leave the varsity. LAHORE - The Punjab University's (PU) 119th Convocation's full dress rehearsal was held at the varsity's Faisal Auditorium on Friday. PU Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr Mujahid Kamran, Pro VC Dr Jamil Anwar, Registrar Dr Akhtar, Controller of Examinations Dr Zahid Karim Khan, faculty deans, college principles, institute directors and chairman of various departments were also present on the occasion. PU student wins five gold medals in athletics
LAHORE - Sehrish Asghar, a student of Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance, won five gold medals in 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100 x 4m and 400 x 4m races in Pakistan Inter University Athletics Championship. The championship was organized by Higher Education Commission in collaboration with Punjab University at Punjab Stadium from December 20 to 21. 15 universities from all over Pakistan participated in the games, won by Punjab University by securing 380 record numbers.
