PSM accrues Rs 8.09b in expenses
KARACHI: The total expenditures sustained by Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) in the first three months of the current financial year stood at Rs 8.09 billion.
The tentative balance sheet of the PSM made available with Pakistan Today, reveals that the total expenditure of the mills in the first three months - July, August and September - of the current fiscal was calculated to be 2.54 billion, 2.83 billion and 2.69 billion, respectively.

PSM awaits budget approval
KARACHI: The proposed budget of the Pakistan Steel Mills for the current fiscal year is yet to be approved by its board of directors as PSM is still operating on adhoc basis. Pakistan Today has reliably learnt that administration of mills has failed to attain approval for the annual budget of mills from the board.

SC refuses to halt PSM investigation
ISLAMABAD: A three-member Supreme Court bench on Thursday declined to halt investigations into corruption of over Rs 22 billion in the state-owned Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) and directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit a progress report into the case within a month.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) board has approved an increase of 15 percent in the salaries of PSM employees, as per the announcement made in the federal budget. The board has also directed the PSM chief executive officer (CEO) to assess whether the 50 percent rise in salaries, as announced in the federal budget 2010-11, would be feasible for the PSM or not.
