PSMA proposes fixed assessable value system
LAHORE - Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA) Chairman Javed Kayani has written a letter to the FBR chairman, proposing a fix assessable value, at a uniform rate of Rs 55 per kg, for sales tax collection. He said that this system of fixed assessable value was introduced in April 1998. FBR proposes plan to generate Rs 25b revenue
ISLAMABAD - The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Salman Siddique on Wednesday said the FBR had proposed a revenue generation plan of Rs 25 billion that included 15 percent flood surcharge on withholding and advance taxes and increasing 1.5 percent Special Excise Duty.

FBR proposes new taxation measures
ISLAMABAD - Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue Member Khawar Khurshid Butt, on Friday, said that FBR has proposed new taxation measures to meet the revised revenue collection target of Rs 1630 billion for 2010-2011.
