KARACHI - A new polio case was reported in Karachi on Friday, according to Sindh Health Department's Public Relations Officer Saleem Khan.
18-month-old Maria Tawab Khan, resident of Baloch Colony in Orangi Town, was diagnosed with the onset of polio on March 29, whereas, according to the final report, it was confirmed on Friday that she has polio.
"Her vaccination status is zero plus seven and she is suffering from P-1 type polio virus," Khan said.
With this new case,

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan remains one of the four countries along with India, Afghanistan, and Nigeria, where Polio is endemic despite aggressive vaccination campaigns by the government since 1993 for its eradication.

Gear up against polio, Fawad tells officials
LAHORE - Punjab Health Secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad has directed the officers of the Health Department to take effective measures to make the routine immunization and anti-polio campaign a success and achieving hundred percent results.

‘One polio case threatens other children as well’
LAHORE - Even if only one polio case exists in the country, threat of this menace will still remain for other children, speakers at the inaugural ceremony of a three-day National Anti-Polio Campaign held at the Children's Hospital said on Monday.
The participants said eradication of polio was a collective responsibility of the government as well as society and all should work hard with dedication for this noble cause.
