PMA hails PM’s special pay package for doctors

LAHORE - Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Punjab chapter on Tuesday welcomed Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani's statement regarding the special pay scales for doctors. PMA Punjab President Dr Ashraf Nizami and other office-bearers said that it was a longstanding demand of the PMA Central Council that doctors should be brought out from the National Pay Scale and a special salary package be announced for them according to their professional capabilities.

PMA denies propaganda against doctors’ regularisation summary

LAHORE - Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has rejected reservations by some groups of doctors about the approval of the summary of promotion/regularisation of 1800 senior doctors having postgraduate qualification of FCPS, MRCP, and FRCS as assistant professors, senior registrars and district specialists by the Punjab chief minister.

KARACHI - The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) announced on Tuesday that it would hold its 22nd Karachi City Marathon and Health Walk on February 27. The walk with the theme 'Cancer Kills - Early Diagnosis Saves Life' will start from PMA House, Sir Aga Khan- III Road at 8am.
