ISLAMABAD - The National Assembly Standing Committee on Women Development Saturday unanimously passed the Acid Control and Acid Crime Prevention Bill, 2010, a private member bill presented by PML-Q MNA Marvi Memon. The bill proposes life imprisonment for acid throwers and a fine of Rs 1 million liable to be paid to the aggrieved.

Renowned scholar passes away after cardiac arrest

KARACHI - Eminent scholar, educationist and historian Dr Nabi Bux Khan Baloch passed away on Wednesday morning.
He was taken to a hospital following cardiac arrest where he breathed his last.
Having complete command on Sindhi, Persian, Arabic, Urdu and English, Dr Baloch produced excellent work in Sindhi folk literature, history, art, anthropology and poetry.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 6 (APP): Prominent scholar, researcher,intellectual and literary figure Dr. Nabi Bux Baloch died of a heart attack late Tuesday night.
