Seven passengers’ burning raises burning questions

GUJRANWALA - An incident which took the lives of seven people, including all the four children of a couple, has raised the burning questions which require attention of the government and policy makers. An expatriate living in Dubai lost his 12-year-old Afshan, nine-year-old Shahzad, seven-year-old Kashif and three-year-old Abdullah while his wife was helplessly transferred to a Lahore hospital without any medication.

GUJRANWALA - At least six passengers including four from one family were burnt alive after being locked in a turned-turtle passenger van when its compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinder exploded near Nandipur village in the jurisdiction of Aroop Police Station.
As the District Headquarter Hospital Gujranwala had no burn unit, all sixteen seriously wounded passengers were shifted to the Mayo hospital Lahore. Reportedly, a Toyota Hiace van was on its way to Sialkot from Gujranwala
