LAHORE – The Punjab Assembly, on its first day of the 22nd session, again faced the quorum issue pointed out by the opposition member Dr Samia Amjad at the time when the adjournment motions were being responded by the law minister on Friday.

PA speaker demands Taseer’s removal

LAHORE – Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal on Saturday wrote a letter to the prime minister urging him to advise the president to remove Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer from his office for violating the constitution by leaving the country without informing the authorities concerned.
