MOSCOW - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Thursday called for Iran to agree talks to clear up "grey areas" in its contested nuclear programme at a meeting with six world powers in Istanbul this month. ANKARA - Turkey is in preliminary talks with France for the construction of a nuclear power plant but Japan has the priority, Anatolia news agency quoted Turkey's energy minister as saying on Friday.

BRUSSELS - The European Union's executive said on Wednesday it was up to the UN nuclear watchdog to inspect Iranian atomic facilities, after Tehran invited EU envoys to tour the sites this month. ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and India exchanged lists of nuclear installations and facilities under an agreement to prohibit any attack, by either side, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.
