ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court will today (Monday) start hearing a petition against the dissolution of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to the provinces and the government's petition seeking a review of the court's verdict on the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

SC to hear NRO, 18th Amend cases from 11th
ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary on Thursday constituted a 17-member larger bench to hear NRO review petitions and the 18th Amendment cases.
The larger bench will hear Civil Review Petitions No 129 of 2010 (Federation of Pakistan through Secretary Ministry of Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs versus Dr Mobashir Hassan, etc "challenging the NRO") from April 11, 2011 and will commence hearing on the 18th Amendment case from April 18, 2011.

KARACHI - The Sindh High Court (SHC) dismissed a petition filed for reopening the cases withdrawn under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) on Wednesday due to non-prosecution. KSE sluggish: Awaits NRO hearing
KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) index depreciated on Tuesday as investors nervously wait for a hearing by the Supreme Court on a government appeal against the overturning of the amnesty law.
