Four varsities functioning without HEC NOC
ISLAMABAD - Four universities of public and private sectors are operating in the country without acquiring no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), which is mandatory for a university to award degrees.

LHC dismisses petition challenging NOC for foreign travel
LAHORE - The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry on Wednesday while strongly admonishing the lawyer dismissed a petition challenging condition of getting NOC for citizens to go abroad. SAFMA slams NoC condition
ISLAMABAD - Criticizing the decision of the government that artists, writers, journalists and civil society activists must obtain No Objection Certificate (NoC) from the Ministry of Interior prior to their visits abroad, particularly to India, South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) has called for immediate withdrawal of the condition.

LHC objects on petition against NOC requirement
Lahore - The Lahore High Court (LHC) registrar office on Tuesday has put a procedural objection on a petition challenging requirement of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) before traveling abroad and has asked the petitioner to affix impugned notification issued by interior ministry in this regard. ‘Artists, students to seek NoC for foreign visits’
ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday informed the National Assembly that his ministry was devising a new strategy to tackle terrorism by introducing a new performa for foreigners and Pakistanis visiting abroad.

Petronas gets NOC to exit Pakistan
