PHNOM PENH - Thai and Cambodian soldiers exchanged heavy fire near a disputed temple on the two countries' shared border Friday, killing a civilian, officials said as tensions between the neighbours boiled over.

80 Taliban killed in fight near Pak border
KHOST: At least 80 Taliban were killed in Afghanistan during a failed attack on a NATO combat outpost near the border with Pakistan, an Afghan official said on Saturday.
"Fresh information that we received from intelligence sources shows that 80 Taliban have been killed. The bodies of the militants were left on the battlefield," said Mukhlis Afghan, spokesman for the governor of eastern Paktika province.

At least seven people were killed and over dozen injured in a remote control bomb blast at the shrine of Hazrat Baba Ghulam Farid Ganjshakar in district Pakpattan early on Monday, private television channels reported.
Quoting eyewitnesses and local security personnel, regional police officer of Sahiwal told Geo News channel that two men riding a motorbike left a milk container near the main gate of the shrine, which then exploded in a huge fireball.
