LAHORE - Multan and National Bank registered wins in their respective matches of the Faysal Bank One-Day National Cup (Division-I) at the LCCA and Gaddafi Stadium on Friday. Qamar Hussain made NBP acting president
KARACHI - The Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan has appointed NBP Chief Operating Officer Qamar Hussain, as acting president of the National Bank of Pakistan. An notification to this effect was issued here on Sunday. Qamar Hussain prior to joining the NBP in 2009 had worked with American Express Bank as their Senior Director Global Credit, New York and earlier as Country Manager in Bangladesh.

Court extends remand of NBP embezzlement case accused
LAHORE - An accountability court on Monday extended the physical remand of Imtinan Saeed Advocate, Omeed Ayyaz Mehmood and Faisal Rasheed till January 24. They were involved in the embezzlement of Rs 140 million obtained from National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) as loan through fake documents.

LAHORE - Wapda managed to score 227 runs on the opening day of the 10th round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match against SNGPL here at the LCCA ground on Saturday.
Wapda reached the score in 63 overs and by the close of play SNGPL were playing at 25 with their two batsmen back to the pavilion in the 12th over.
