The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supported the Awami National Party (ANP) in renaming the Northwest Frontier Province (NWFP), said former Jamaat Islami leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed.
