KARACHI - Various judicial magistrates remanded seven suspected militants until January 20 at the City Courts on Tuesday.

US drones kill eight militants in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR - At least eight suspected militants were killed and several others injured in two separate US drone attacks in North Waziristan on Friday.
The first attack destroyed a vehicle in Data Khel area close to the Pak-Afghan border in the morning. The drone fired four missiles at the vehicle killing all six on board.
In the second attack, a motorcycle was hit by two missiles in Boya tehsil's Ghalmani village. Both the riders were killed.

Forces kill six militants in Kurram Agency

PESHAWAR - At least six militants were killed and three injured in a clash with the security forces in Lower Kurram Agency on Thursday.
The officials said a group of militants attacked the security forces check-post at Saif Ul Dara area and that the security forces retaliated and gunned down six militants. Three militants were
injured in the clashes.
The local tribesmen said that notorious militant commander Gul Sharif, his son and a nephew were also among the dead.

PESHAWAR - Two militants were shot down in Samar Bag area of Lower Dir, security officials claimed on Sunday. Earlier, the militants attacked a police van with an Improvised Explosive Device, injuring three police officers including the station house officer, officials said.

Militants attack NATO supply containers, kill driver

PESHAWAR - Suspected militants on Wednesday attacked two Afghanistan-bound NATO containers killing a driver. Two cleaners were also injured in the ambush near Landi Kotal, official and local sources said. The NATO containers were stopped near Landi Kotal by armed men.
