PHOENIX - Australia's Karrie Webb won her second title in three LPGA events this season, firing a six-under par 66 on Sunday to take the inaugural LPGA Founders Cup by one stroke. Webb appeared destined for a playoff with Brittany Lincicome, but the American took only her second bogey of the 54-hole event at the 18th hole to give the Aussie veteran her 37th career LPGA title on 12-under par 204. DAYTONA BEACH - Australian veteran Karrie Webb, a World Golf Hall of Fame player, was elected to the LPGA Board of Directors for a three-year term, the women's golf tour announced Tuesday. Webb, who has 36 career LPGA triumphs and three season money titles plus two Player of the Year awards, and American Allison Fouch were elected by their peers to the directors spots.

Spain’s Recari wins first US LPGA title
DANVILLE: Spain's Beatriz Recari captured her first US LPGA title on Sunday, shrugging off difficult damp conditions and a late bogey for a one-shot victory over France's Gwladys Nocera.
Recari, a 23-year-old in her rookie season on the US circuit, carded a two-under 70 for a 14-under par total of 274 in the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge. Recari bounced back from a bogey at 17 with a par at the final hole that was good enough for the victory.
