LAHORE - KRL, HBL, PIA, KPT forced their way into quarter-finals, as four more matches were decided in the 21st National Bank Football Cup at two venues of Faisalabad on Sunday.
KRL got rid of HBL 2-0, while PIA and KPT struggled to beat Police and PTV respectively in Group-C. Police went down 1-2 at the hands of PIA at Bohranwali Ground and once again winger Zafar Majeed became the hero of KPT's 1-0 win over Pakistan Television at PMC Ground.

LAHORE - New head coach of Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) football team Tariq Lutfi has played down his team's 'favorites' tag, insisting he will only be able to assess his side's chances after their opener in Group B of the 21st NBP Football Cup.

KRL defeat Lions in One-day Cup

LAHORE - Khan Research Laboratories defeated Lahore Lions by 45 runs in the One-Day National Cup (Division -II) here at the LCCA ground on Thursday.
Put into bat, KRL scored 269 for nine in 50 overs. They mainly banked on the batting of Muhammad Idris and Ali Khan while getting little support from Yasir Arafat and Asif Mahmood.
Lahore Lions could muster 224 runs in 49.2 overs and lost the match despite a century from Saad Nasim while no other player supported him.

LAHORE: Khan Research Laboratories defeated Lahore Ravi by nine wickets here on the final day of the Division-II Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match at the LCCA Ground on Sunday. KRL bowled Lahore twice after forced the losers to follow on in the first innings. KRL made 247 in their first innings and Muhammad Imran, Rahat Ali restricted them to 75 runs in 31 overs.
