PESHAWAR: At least 15 people, including five children, were killed and 45 injured when a passenger van lost control and fell in a ditch in Mingora on Sunday.
The vehicle was taking wedding guests to Mingora from Malam Jabba when the driver lost control in the Spena Ubo area of Mingora. Five women were also among the deceased. Police said the accident was a result of over speeding, adding that 10 people were killed on the spot, while the others died at the hospital.

QUETTA: A Frontier Corps Balochistan constable was killed in a militants attack and five others including a major got injured in Khuzdar district on Friday, however three attackers were also killed in the retaliation of FC personnel.

ABIDJAN: Violence in western Ivory Coast during Sunday's second round of presidential elections has killed three people, the UN envoy to the divided west African country, Youn-jin Choi, said Monday.
The previous toll, given on Sunday by the government, was two dead, and the authorities blamed Dozo traditional hunters.

Bihari Qaumi Movement chief killed in Karachi
KARACHI: Aftab Malik, founder and chief of the Bihari Qaumi Movement (BQM), was shot dead on Friday in the jurisdiction of Pakistan Bazaar police station in Orangi Town, Karachi, police said.
An official of Pakistan Bazaar police station said that unidentified, armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on Malik near his house in Orangi Town. As a result, Aftab and two other passers-by received bullets wounds.

BUNER: At least 14 people, including 10 women and a child, were killed and over 40 were injured when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in Jorre area of Buner district on Tuesday.

KARACHI: At least five people were killed in separate incidents in Karachi on Saturday amid heightened security measures that were put in place ahead of the arrival of the body of slain MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq.

PESHAWAR: At least 14 people, including suspected militants, were killed and several others inured when US drones targeted four vehicles in separate attacks in North Waziristan Agecny on Wednesday.
The first attack took place in Qutabkhel area close to Miranshah, the agency headquarter.
