TUNIS - Two civilians were killed and eight injured in overnight clashes with police in a provincial town, the Tunisian government said on Sunday, the deadliest incident in a series of riots that started nearly a month ago.

TEHRAN - An airliner with Iran Air crashed on Sunday near a northwestern city in bad weather and broke into pieces, killing at least 70 of the 105 people on board, state news agency IRNA reported.

ABIDJAN - At least 210 people have been killed in Ivory Coast since a presidential stand-off escalated in mid-December, the United Nations mission in the crisis-hit west African nation said on Thursday.

SATAFF REPORT - Three tribesmen were killed when an Improvise Explosive Devise (IED) hit a vehicle in South Waziristan Agency on Wednesday.
Reportedly, a vehicle was passing through a link road on Shakai Road when it was hit by an IED which was planted by some unknown saboteurs. Three people were killed in the incident.

BRUSSELS - Ninety four journalists died in Pakistan owing to violence this year, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) said on Friday, adding that country was the most dangerous place for media workers in 2010.

Three killed in Jaffarabad firing
QUETTA - Three people, including a woman, were killed in an armed attack in Jaffarabad district, around 360 kms southeast of Quetta on Tuesday. Per details, unidentified armed men stormed into a house in Goth Azmat Bugti and opened indiscriminate fire on the residents.
