KARACHI - Following the killings of two activist of MQM, the city, again, fell prey to unrest as unknown miscreants set two buses on fire in Landhi area on Tuesday.
According to sources, armed men forcefully vacated a passenger bus and set it on fire near Manzil pump in Sherpao Colony of Landhi.

KARACHI - At least five more people including a trader's son were killed in separate violent incidents in various areas of the metropolis during the last 24 hours, police said.

KARACHI - At least five persons were killed in different firing incidents in the city during the last 24 hours, police said.
According to details, a 50-year-old Maulana Qamar Ashrafi was gunned down by unidentified people in Orangi Town. He was killed while he was going back home after offering prayers.

KARACHI - At least 43 people have been killed in political violence in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi during the last 18 days, officials said as they announced the arrest of 11 suspects.

Anti-polio campaign kicks off in Karachi
KARACHI - Karachi Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed inaugurated a polio eradication campaign in Karachi by administering polio vaccines to children in the Civic Centre on Thursday.

Targeted killings claim another 17 lives in Karachi
KARACHI - At least 17 people were reported killed in various incidents of targeted killing in another violence-marred day in Karachi on Friday. The dead include, Sabeeh Khan, a nephew of Aamir Khan, prominent leader of Mohajir Qaumi Movement. He was attacked near Jauhar Morr.

KARACHI - In preparation for the country-wide census from April 5, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP)-Karachi decided on Thursday to mobilize its grassroots workers to create awareness and encourage full participation of all citizens. KARACHI - The wave of violence in Karachi continued on Thursday as another 11 people, including an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, were killed across the city.

KARACHI - Targeted killings claimed seven more lives across Karachi on Wednesday. Rahat Fayyaz was killed in Peerabad area of Banaras, while an unidentified man was gunned down in Garden police precincts.
Thirty-year-old Muhammad Saleem was killed near Khadda Market on Haji Ismail Road in Baghdadi police precincts. In another incident, unidentified men sprayed Shahzad Memon with bullets near Hussainabad's Koko Park in Azizabad area.

ASWJ madrassa damaged in Karachi rocket attack
KARACHI - Adopting a new strategy to harass the people of Karachi, terrorists fired two rockets at a madrassa in Malir area on Wednesday. A rocket hit the walls of the madrassa run by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) near Jamia mosque, while a second rocket landed at Ghazi ground a few minutes later. The walls of the madrassa were damaged in the attacks.
