Suicide car bomber targets foreign troops in Kabul
KABUL: A suicide car bomber targeted foreign forces in Kabul on Friday but the device detonated early, slightly injuring an Afghan soldier, ISAF and city police said.
An International Security Assistance Force spokesman said the explosion happened near Camp Julien, which is located in the ruins of the former Afghan royal palace in the west of the city.

Karzai invites Gilani to Kabul
ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday telephoned Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and extended a verbal invitation to him for his first official visit to Kabul in the near future.
Karzai expressed his desire to discuss the entire range of bilateral relations during the visit. The prime minister accepted the invitation and expressed confidence that high-level contacts would bring the two fraternal countries even closer, a press release stated.

Pakistan in the dark over Kabul peace effort: Gilani
ISLAMABAD
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday said Afghan President Hamid Karzai had agreed to share his peace plan with Pakistan, however, no information has been shared with Islamabad so far.
"Once the information is provided, a decision will be taken on how Pakistan can cooperate," Gilani told office-bearers of the Diplomatic Correspondent Association of Pakistan (CAP) at Prime Minister's House.
