Pakistan-focused firm joins London bourse

LONDON - London Stock Exchange (LSE) has welcomed Oracle Coalfields, the first Pakistan-focused company, to join its Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The company has raised an additional three million pounds and is being admitted to AIM with a market capitalisation of approximately 25 million pounds. ISLAMABAD - The federal government has appointed the renowned religious scholar Professor Mufti Munib ur Rehman as a member of the Religious Board for Modarabas (Islamic financial institutions) with immediate effect. His appointment has been made in pursuance of Section 9 of the 1980 Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floatation and Control) Ordinance.
