JERUSALEM - A bus was hit by a massive explosion outside Jerusalem's central bus station on Wednesday, medical sources told AFP, saying around 20 people had been wounded, some of them seriously. JERUSALEM - Israel is to approve 1,400 new settler homes in east Jerusalem, media and the local council said on Sunday, defying pressure to halt settlement building that has stalled peace talks with the Palestinians.

JERUSALEM - Israeli police and agents of the Shin Bet security service have arrested five Arab men suspected of involvement in a plot to fire a rocket into a Jerusalem football stadium, the agency said on Sunday.
A Shin Bet statement said that two of the men, Mussa Hamada and Bassem Omari, had for several years been active in the militant Islamic movement Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood in Jerusalem. It said they received support from the Muslim Brotherhood in Saudi Arabia.
