LAHORE - A Camp Jail Lahore warder was dismissed from service on Monday by the jail superintendent for supplying liquor to prisoners. Camp Jail Superintendent Gulzar Butt said that he received information that Warder Humayun Maqsood supplied liquor to prisoners in guise of water. Butt said that he observed that Maqsood cleared a prisoner's luggage carrying liquor in a cold drink bottle.

Reportedly, Sahiwal ASJ Jamil Ahmed awarded 50-year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2 lakhb to accused Tahir Abbas after his trial. According to the prosecution, Tahir Abbas, on April 10, 2010 in Chak No 49-GD, shot two women Kausar and Khatoon Rani dead over some domestic issue.
